Lucknow, 10 August : City Montessori School in collaboration with RTO Lucknow organised a workshop today for drivers for the safety and convenience of students at CMS Kanpur Road Campus. In this workshop, drivers of all 21 campuses of CMS were made aware of the necessary precautions while bringing children to school and taking them back home in bus or van. This information was given by CMS Public Relations Officer Mr. Rishi Khanna. Mr. Khanna informed that the workshop was organised on the topic ‘Awareness Programme of School Children’s Transport Safety’, in which Regional Inspector, Transport, Mr. Vishnu Kumar made the drivers aware of the necessary precautions and guidelines for the safety of school children. About 100 drivers of CMS participated in this workshopAt this workshop, various issues like behaviour towards children, importance of vehicle maintenance, over speeding, caution during monsoon season, availability of first aid box, precautions while boarding and deboarding small children and girls, use of mobile and eating paan masala were discussed in detail and necessary guidelines were also provided to the drivers. Drivers were specially made aware about the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) and POCSO Act on this occasion. At the end of the workshop, Mrs. Shuchi Gupta, Head of Transport Department of CMS expressed her heartfelt thanks to Regional Inspector, Transport, Mr. Vishnu Kumar and said that CMS is always aware and conscious about the safety of its students. She said that this workshop has proved to be very useful for all the drivers.
