Lucknow, 7  September: On the second day of the four-day International Science and Computer Festival ‘Macfair International-2024’, organized by City Montessori School, Mahanagar Campus, at the CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium, students from various countries showcased their knowledge and scientific prowess through multiple competitions, while also conveying a message of friendship and camaraderie. On this second day of Macfair, student teams from prestigious schools in Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and various Indian states participated in debate, science quizz, group discussion, science character speak, science olympiad, PowerPoint presentation, Mac-Robo race, science drama, science module display, maths quizz, and science fiction writing competitions. Their performances captivated the audience, highlighting an extraordinary blend of science, computers, mathematics, English, and art.

The day’s competitions kicked off with the final round of the ‘Science Quiz’, in which 10 selected student teams, who excelled in the written round, participated. Each team comprised two students, and were put forth questions related to science and technology. The participants impressed the audience with their quick responses, showcasing their brilliance. The ‘Debate Competition’ was another major attraction, where students eloquently presented their views both for and against the topic ‘Artificial Intelligence: Boon or Bane’. The audience was left astonished by the depth of their arguments and their powerful expression.Additionally, a highly engaging ‘Character Speak’ competition was held, where participants portrayed the lives and discoveries of famous scientists on stage. In this event, students donned the attire of renowned scientists and enacted their roles while highlighting their inventions. This competition not only enhanced the students’ knowledge but also showcased their creativity, artistic skills, and acting abilities.
