Lucknow, February 1 : Students of City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II, organized ‘Interfaith Harmony March’ today, making a fervent appeal for religious unity, communal harmony, and social cohesion. Leading this grand march were prominent religious leaders, including Shri Aparimay Shyam Das Ji from Hinduism, Maulana Dr. Kalbe Sibtain Noorie and Maulana Sufyan Nizami from Islam, Sardar Harpal Singh Jaggi from Sikhism, Father Dr. Donald H.R. D’Souza from Christianity, Shri Shailendra Jain from Jainism, Bhikkhu Gyanlok from Buddhism and Shri Sanjeev Upadhyay from the Bahá’í Faith. Their participation ignited an extraordinary spirit of religious unity. During the march, CMS students, dressed in traditional attire representing different religions, carried placards displaying the teachings and messages of great spiritual leaders and religious avatars, spreading the message of social harmony and unity.
Ahead of this, CMS Founder-Director and renowned educationist, Dr. Bharti Gandhi warmly welcomed the religious leaders and emphasized that religious unity and global harmony are essential for social progress and upliftment, and children must be taught these values from a young age. On this occasion, the religious leaders also shared their insightful views, collectively emphasizing that all religions inspire humanity to live in peace and harmony. Shri Aparimay Shyamdas Ji stated that religion teaches us moral values and leads to our spiritual progress. Sardar Harpal Singh Jaggi remarked that religion connects people and that efforts should be made to promote coordination and brotherhood in society. Maulana Dr. Kalbe Sibtain Noorie highlighted that the CMS students’ Interfaith Harmony March is a powerful means to foster mutual trust among different religious communities. Similarly, Father Dr. Donald H.R. D’Souza (Christianity), Shri Shailendra Jain (Jainism), Bhikkhu Gyanlok (Buddhism), Shri Sanjeev Upadhyay (Bahá’í Faith), and Maulana Sufyan Nizami (Islam) also expressed their thoughts on the importance of religious unity and harmony.
